The art of applying henna in this manner is called Mehemdi, it is an ancient ritual and art form. No Indian wedding is ever complete without the mehendi cermony.
Mehendi is considered to be an ancient Indian Body Art. It is used in creating elaborate ethnic or contemporary designs and exothic patterns on various parts of the body; traditionally mehendi was applied on the hands and feet of the Indian bride and women preparing for special festive ceremonies. Today men are finding it a nice alternative to permanent tatoos, and now both men and women enjoy the temporary tattoo.
We offer a wide range of designs to choose from. If it is your wish, we can supply you with a design of your choice. We try to stay updated to all your needs by introducing new designs periodically, and also by incorporating the latest trends in our designs.
We use:
Fresh green colour, Red and Black henna. Please note: Black mehendi is a dyeing chemical, you should make sure that you are not allergic to it. We do not take any responsibility for any allergy caused due to black mehindi.
Make sure your hands are free of any lotion, cream or ointment. The colour comes out the darkest on the palm and sole, the other areas the color come lighter in comparision. If you have oily skin then clean it with a tisue, which is absorbent. Soft skin doesn't tend to stain well like, belly, forehead, arms, chest, thigh etc. But it depends on every individual.
